China: guidance for selection, installation and use
China's official standards information platform lists GB/T 20728-2021 as current guidance for Coriolis meter selection, installation and use. It provides a useful framework for engineering checks. GB/T denotes a recommended national standard; its role in a particular project still depends on contracts, intended use and applicable requirements.
A product standard is a different layer
The official platform lists GB/T 31130-2014 for Coriolis mass flowmeters as a current product standard. Product standards and use guidance address different matters. Seeing a standard number in literature does not establish completed testing or certification. Request evidence relating to the actual model.
International guidance: ISO 10790
ISO lists ISO 10790:2015 as current and states that it was reviewed and confirmed in 2026. It covers guidance on selection, installation, calibration, performance and operation. It is not an explosion-protection certificate and does not replace local commercial-measurement, hygiene or safety requirements.
- Record the number, edition, status and official source.
- Check which edition the contract requires and the product documents reference.
Keep standards knowledge and product evidence separate
A knowledge page explains scope; a compliance decision also needs the model, configuration, test information or certificates and conditions of use. A new edition does not automatically invalidate an older certificate. This page's update date indicates editorial maintenance, not human engineering approval. Obtain standards texts through official or authorised channels.
